This is the start of my latest watercolour, a painting of my oldest cat, Simba, who is seventeen... she's tired and she hates the camera. I have countless photos of her, but she never looks at the lens. She did this time, and it was such a nice photo, that I had to paint it. Now, I don't normally start with the eyes, when doing animal paintings in watercolour, but for some reason, I wanted to this time.
Losing my virginity on Blogger
Wow... I'm absolutely clueless as to what I am doing right about now, but here goes anyway. I'm just going to start uploading (thoughts, and stuff I'm working on), and perhaps even downloading (thoughts, and stuff that has nothing to do with what I'm working on).
I have been procrastinating about starting a Blog for a good while now. We won't even mention anything about the non-existent personal website that I've been meaning to get up and running for over a good year now! Ugh... I just haven't got the time. I work, I have three kids, and I try to squeeze as much painting time in as possible in between the maybe five or six hours of sleep that I get each night! Yikes!
And I HAVE been painting - like a mad woman. Whatever possessed me to let it go for fifteen years is beyond me. I have been so consumed with my new-found passion, I am certain that I will never stop painting ever again. There is so much I want to try, and do, and accomplish, over the next little while, so that means I need to paint, paint, paint my little heart out!
Anyway, no one is listening right now, so I'm just going to upload some progress shots of my current painting that I'm working on! Hope to figure this Blogger thing out soon, and start looking for a few to start following!
